Road Foreman - AMTRAK (Pomona, CA)

SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
This position manages Metrolink Commuter Operations T crews to ensure safe and efficient operation of with other managers and supervisors.
Initiate action for non-compliance in a consistent and fair manner.
Responsible for operating budget, oversee train operations to optimize OTP and make recommendations for ensuring employees operate equipment efficiently and in compliance with the General Code.
Requirements EDUCATION:
Must have High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) Certificate.
PREFERRED EDUCATION:
Bachelors Degree in Transportation or related field or equivalent combination of work experience, training and/ r education.
WORK
Experience:
Must be certified as Class 1 FRA Engineer.
Some operating experience as a locomotive engineer with no violations as described in CFR 49 part 240.
PREFERRED WORK
Experience:
Qualified on physical characteristics of territory.
Demonstrate business and financial management experience.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Attain DSLE and become qualified on physical characteristics within six (6) months.
Demonstrate leadership and supervisory skills, knowledge of CFR 49 requirements, labor agreements and Amtrak and/or Metrolink policies and equipment.
COMMUNICATION ND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:
Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills TRAVEL:
