Himark Cactus is an ISO-certified industrial tape manufacturer.
We are looking for a material handler to join our winning team at our Irwindale converting & distribution facility! The material handler is responsible for material-handling duties in support of logistics operation, production operations, and other internal customers.
Duties for this position include, but are not limited to:
Fulfilling and transacting material transfer requests that were issued by warehouse supervisors.
--Physically and systemically moving raw materials from warehouse site into production site.
--Physically and systemically moving approved production materials from production site into logistics storage locations.
-- Point-of-use materials replenishment for designated production lines.
--Loading and unloading containers Complying with materials management policies and processes, including First In/ First Out (FIFO) material rotation, 5-S, Safety, Quality, and Good Warehousing/Housekeeping processes.
Operating material handling equipment such as forklift, pallet jacketc.
Assist with packaging:
pack, load and label orders.
Timely communications with operations personnel, customer service personnels on order related issues.
Assist in achieving all warehouse related KPI goals on a monthly basis.
Assist with and perform other material handling duties and work in other areas as instructed by warehouse supervisor.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to effectively communicate with peers and internal customers, both verbally and written.
Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks Thorough understanding of warehouse policies and procedures Education and
Experience:
A high school qualification or equivalent.
Minimum 2 year of warehouse or material handling experience Inventory control experience (cycle counting, physical inventories) is preferred.
Computer literacy.
Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift material up to 50 lbs.
Ability to operate forklifts and other heavy machinery.
