Covina, CA Covina, CA Full-time Full-time From $17 an hour From $17 an hour Covina Animal Hospital is a private small animal general practice currently seeking a Veterinary Technician Assistant / Client Service Representative.
This position is a hybrid position and can be used to grow into other positions within our hospital.
While we have been involved with our community since 1937, we currently practice in a 7,700 square foot state-of-the art facility that was built in 2015.
We are a team of 37 professionals (5 Veterinarians) focused on our purpose of helping pets live longer, happier, and healthier lives.
We serve our purpose by building a partnership with our clients, educating on the value of lifelong wellness, and providing human grade veterinary care in a Fear Free setting.
Every aspect of the patient's care rolls over into client service so we like to bridge the gap between our treatment area and our client service area.
Having experience in both of these positions will help our team provide the highest quality patient care.

Basic Job Duties & Requirements:
A successful Technician Assistant / Client Service Representative at Covina Animal Hospital loves to be on their feet helping others, maintaining a clean and stocked facility, and providing compassionate care to our feline and canine patients.
You also enjoy building relationships with clients and educating on preventative and wellness care.

Bend, stand, squat, and lift objects and pets up to 30lbs (over 30 lbs with help).
Restrain and interact with dogs and cats.
Maintain the cleanliness of the hospital.
Willing and able to have a background check.
Willingness to learn and adapt (pet behavior, animal handling and restraint, medical terminology, etc.
) Tailored training and support will be provided so that you can succeed and grow in our fast-paced environment.
Answer telephone calls, schedule appointments, and relay information to and from doctors, technicians, and clients.
A working knowledge of pet behavior and general wellness (understanding the value of vaccines, bloodwork, spay/neutering, etc.
).
Prepare medications, review estimates with clients, and collect payment for services.
