We are looking for a mature candidate with long term work experience who enjoys doing QC work, lab experiments and data entry.
Performs quality control tasks in accordance with the approved quality plan, policies, and procedures.
Assists in development and maintaining systems which assure manufactured and purchased products meet customer specifications.
Assists the quality team in achieving superior quality and reliability levels with customers.
Coordinates the diagnosis of internal and external quality problems, corrective and preventive action programs, and implementation of quality controls for all phases of the manufacturing process.
Assist with testing, analyzing and documenting Research & Development projects.
Tracks progress of Research and Development projects.
Works cross-functionally to monitor systems, identify nonconformance trends and develop improvement plans.
Compiles data into written lab analysis reports.
Assists VP Technology with creation and revision of SDS and technical data sheets.
Creates Certificates of Analysis as requested.
Maintain SDS and technical data files for raw materials and finished products.
Perform other tasks as requested by supervisor, VP Technology, President, VP of Corporate Sales and General Manager.
REQUIRED SKILLS Ability to follow instructions given orally or written.
Ability to follow and carry out standardized test methods accurately and document results in a professionally written report.
Ability to work with little or no supervision, given proper instructions.
Must be adaptable to changing schedules/priorities.
Sufficient visual acuity to read instructions and visually inspect product.
Excellent interpersonal skills, written/verbal communication skills and ability to work alone and as a team.
High level of organization and time management skills; attention to detail and sense of urgency to respond to customer requests in a timely manner are essential.
Proficient in Microsoft Office software 2010 or higher (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Must be detail and goal oriented.
EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Bachelor of Science degree in related field from an accredited university and/or 3 years of experience in a QC or technical service laboratory.
