We are seeking an energetic, detail-oriented, and analytical individual to join our dynamic finance team as an Accounting Assistant.
This is an on-site role that offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where your expertise in accounting principles and financial operations will be highly valued.
You will be responsible for providing support to our accounting department and performing daily accounting tasks that will support our financial team.
Responsibilities:
Assist with the preparation of financial statements.
Analyze and maintain the general ledger.
Prepare and analyze balance sheets.
Perform account reconciliations and rectify discrepancies.
Assist with budget preparation and financial planning processes.
Use QuickBooks for various accounting tasks such as invoicing, monitoring expenses, and conducting payroll.
Prepare financial reports for internal use by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information.
Support the month-end and year-end close process.
Ensure compliance with GAAP principles.
Assist with tax audits and tax returns.
Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for this position should possess the following
Qualifications:
A minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting or financial role.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
Experience with creating pivot tables and using advanced Excel functions.
Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software.
Excellent numerical skills with attention to detail.
A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
A proactive approach to tasks, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
